Fot this accepted submission into the Pikes Peak State Spring 2024 gallery, I knew I would want to create a knight in some way. After a little bit of thinking, I decided to surround her with a pit of lava with people swimming in it reaching for her. I tried to emulate the symmetry commonly found in religious art of the Middle Ages. The knight has a solomn face, perhaps depicting sadness, guilt, or maybe ill intent.
